Trump’s tweets on Russia meddling are a big deal… here’s why

On Tuesday, President Donald Trump took to Twitter to skewer his predecessor for enabling the Russian election meddling the mainstream media and Democrats have come to blame on the current administration. And Trump is right, we’re at a major turning point.
“‘There is no serious person out there who would suggest somehow that you could even rig America’s elections, there’s no evidence that that has happened in the past or that it will happen this time, and so I’d invite Mr. Trump to stop whining and make his case to get votes,’” Trump said in a tweet Monday quoting President Barack Obama.
Trump, of course, did make his case to get votes– and he won the election.
Now, after months of Democrats suggesting that Russia did indeed “rig America’s election,” the current president is striking back against his predecessor.
Special FBI investigator Robert Mueller concluded with indictments this week that Russia did indeed attack the U.S. 2016 presidential election. But the results of Mueller’s investigation so far are painting a far different portrait of Russia’s involvement in the election than the narrative peddled now for more than a year by the Democratic establishment.
According to the indictments handed down this week, Russian meddling may have done more to help the Hillary Clinton campaign than it did to help the current president’s efforts to land in the Oval Office.
As Trump noted of the aforementioned quote Tuesday:
“….The President Obama quote just before election. That’s because he thought Crooked Hillary was going to win and he didn’t want to ‘rock the boat.’ When I easily won the Electoral College, the whole game changed and the Russian excuse became the narrative of the Dems.
The president added:
Obama was President up to, and beyond, the 2016 Election. So why didn’t he do something about Russian meddling?
The revelations in Mueller’s investigation remove the wind from the sails of Democrats hoping to sweep the 2018 midterm elections based on the Trump/Russia controversy.
As Trump noted:
Republicans are now leading the Generic Poll, perhaps because of the popular Tax Cuts which the Dems want to take away. Actually, they want to raise you taxes, substantially. Also, they want to do nothing on DACA, R’s want to fix!
He added:
Hope Republicans in the Great State of Pennsylvania challenge the new “pushed” Congressional Map, all the way to the Supreme Court, if necessary. Your Original was correct! Don’t let the Dems take elections away from you so that they can raise taxes & waste money!
With the Trump/Russia controversy out of the way, Republicans have the opportunity to hold, but more importantly to expand, their power in Washington.
