Republican Congressman Rep. Kinzinger should address, to the voters, alleged selfie PICs circulating on social media and the internet to avoid a Roy Moore situation before the Primary election day.

MORRIS, Ill., Mar 14, 2018 – James Marter, Republican candidate for Congress in the Illinois 16thDistrict, is requesting that Rep. Adam Kinzinger address a series of allegedly unbecoming “sexting” pictures allegedly featuring the Congressman that have been circulating on social media and around the internet.  They have prompted IL-16 voters to demand answers.  We don’t need another Republican Congressman “Roy Moored”, come November, whether accusations are baseless or not.  Full and complete disclosure by Rep. Adam Kinzinger before the Primary Election on March 20th is paramount and can clear up the matter.

In Rep. Adam Kinzinger’s own words, on November 10, 2017 from a tweet.  “I think Roy Moore needs to step aside now, these allegations are disgusting and I believe them.”  Also, from Rebecca Berg “Kinzinger says GOP & POTUS must publicly take on HFC (House Freedom Caucus). “I’ve been keeping quiet on internal divisions.  Now we have to expose them.” ” March, 25, 2017.  It’s clear to us that the Congressman likes to comment on and expose others, seems only fair he should clarify this issue.

We are giving Congressman Kinzinger a fair opportunity to address the pictures allegedly of him and appear to be part of an exchange with an unknown party.  Given his position as the elected Congressman of IL-16th District, his service on committees in Washington, and as an Air Force pilot, these series of pictures could certainly be used for blackmail due to their inappropriate nature.  The pictures appear to be numbered and may be part of a wider series of pictures.  The Congressman is clearly in a situation where the right thing to do is come out and publicly address the issue with the people he represents, and if he’s involved submit to a formal investigation by the House Ethics Committee in Congress.  In this way, the Voters of the District can make up their minds as to whether the presence of them is an issue or not.

The Marter for Congress campaign wants to focus its campaign on furthering Republican Candidate Jim Marter’s message to support President Trump and promote the “America First” agenda moving forward in Washington and across the nation, and wants to make sure the Illinois 16th District shares in the benefit of promoting “America First” in the coming years.

Inquiries by constituents alerting us of the alleged pictures on social media and the internet have led us to now publicly confirm our awareness of the alleged pictures existence.

Our campaign along with the Congressman’s were among many GOP leaders statewide and nationally were informed of their existence some weeks ago via email.

“I entered this campaign on the issues and his voting record and had no knowledge of the alleged pictures when I entered the race, apparently there were many who have long known about them and perhaps had hope to use them in the general election against Congressman Kinzinger.  It would be best if he addressed them now during the Primary, maybe for some voters it is a non-issue, best to let the voters be aware and decide," said Jim Marter.  “We can’t sit back and not address them with the public and we are allowing Rep. Kinzinger that opportunity to respond”.

Rep. Kinzinger has distanced himself from the constituents in the District on many fronts.  It is a common complaint by the people of the district, that his office and himself have little or no response on various inquiries, not just this issue of the pictures.  It is a common trait of out of touch establishment incumbents in Washington who stop corresponding with the people.
