Reed School Partners With Fire Dept. For Fire Prevention Week
Firefighters recently spent two days at Reed School talking with students about the importance of fire safety.
LOCKPORT, IL — Reed School partnered with Northwest Homer Fire Protection District for Fire Prevention Week. Firefighters from the department recently spent two days at Reed School talking with students about the importance of fire safety.
In addition to meeting and talking with each class, students had the opportunity to walk through the Fire Safety House, which mimics a house with three rooms, the school said. Students then learned about kitchen and stove safety and how to safely exit a house when smoke is present.
