Homer Glen Plans Veterans Day Celebration
It is a free event to honor and recognize all of those who are serving or have served the country.
HOMER GLEN, IL — The village of Homer Glen will host a Veterans Day celebration on Nov. 11 at Konow's Farm. The celebration will be held from 12 to 3 p.m. at the farm, 16849 Cedar Road.
It is a free event to honor and recognize all of those who are serving or have served the country.
The event is sponsored by the village, VFS Post 5788 & Auxiliary, Lockport American Legion Post 18 and Konow's. According to the village, there will be pizza, hot dogs, popcorn, beverages, tractor and military vehicles exhibits, face painting, DJ music and more.
There will also be an honor guard from the Will County Sheriff's Office, a 21 gun salute and a presentation of colors at 1 p.m.
