Are Republican politicians on our side?

Are Republican politicians on our side?

(This is the first installment of a four-part series on how conservatives should view the upcoming national midterm election. We will publish subsequent installments each Monday between now and Election Day.)
If the Republican politicians are our friends, who needs enemies?
(Editors Note: Yes many Republicans in Congress and the Senate seem to be cowards. The answer is term limits which ends the job for life mentality of doing what is in the best interest of themselves instead of being concerned with the people they represent. Why do they allow a double standard putting the people second? We expect that from the Democrats. Why does the DOJ, FBI, DNC, And Hilary Clinton elude the same jail cell most all American Citizens would be spending the rest of their lives in for doing much less? Yes, most but not all Republicans in Congress and the Senate are cowardly, allowing those in certain positions to be above the law the rest of us must follow. We the people are fed up!!! Don't get me wrong, Democrats are so much worse. They control the media and push their socialist, atheist agenda in every article and every program. Problem is Republicans for the most part until Trump have not stood against them. )
There is a common theme in discussions with conservative friends who believe that Republican politicians — particularly those residing for very long in the District of Criminals — are cowards or become cowards who are afraid to stand up for conservative causes. It’s also a message regularly delivered by Republican-loving scribes and talking heads who claim to be conservatives.
An example of this trope appeared this week recently on the website American Greatness. Author Brandon J. Weichert writes:
There are times I forget the Republican Party won the 2016 election. The reason is simple: because most of the establishment GOP continues the loveable loser act. The Republicans appear to be appealing to some invisible referee who will wade into the great debate between those on the American Right and those on the Satanic Left and adjudicate the arguments fairly… If elected Republicans stood together the way the Democrats somehow manage, there is no policy that the GOP could not push through. Yet the Republicans struggle because their leadership is weak and malleable.
The Republican Party has well earned the appellations from conservative voters the “Loveable Loser Party,” “the Stupid Party,” the “Coward Party”  or “weak” — all terms I’ve heard or seen used by Republican voters — based on its abandonment of moral and genuine conservative principles as well as its inability to lead in Congress. Not that the Democrats are any better, mind you, because their claims to morality and principle are even more ludicrous!
The abysmal Republican failures in Congress, most notably their inability to repeal Obamacare, unwillingness to reduce government size and spending and fumbling over the confirmation of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court seem to give weight to the premise. But this is a page right out of Republican Party politics 101, which promises conservativism to its followers but delivers unmitigated collectivism.
Republican politicians, for example, profess pro-Christian, anti-big government ideals but join the Democrats in faith-destroying, socialist legislation to expand the welfare state. The Republicans are not stupid, fickle or cowardly, they are hypocrites. They are not more effective, much less more trustworthy, than the Democrats in preserving your liberty.
Republicans have long claimed to have the corner on genuine conservatism, much as Democrats claim to have the corner on genuine liberalism. Both claims are untrue but are perceived as true thanks to mass deception. Today’s conservatism and liberalism are but twin pincers of the same, dynamic, ever-changing, collectivist dialectic.
I want to limit my examination to the conservative side of the problem because today’s pseudo-conservatives are particularly adept at leading astray large numbers of middle-class Americans, especially Christians, patriots and other good folks. Also, if not for the consistent acquiescence of Republican “conservatives” to the collectivist agenda, America would have retained its limited, constitutional Republic, even in this “sophisticated” day and age.
Note that in a federal government dominated by a Republican majority, the federal leviathan grows in power, coupled together with New World Order. Note, too, that Republican judges and juries continue to rule for the state; codifying into law the evil practices of the progressive left such as socialized “healthcare,” sodomite “marriage” and the right to murder the soon-to-be-born.
The Republican Party was born of corporatism and nurtured on bloodshed, and that continues to this day. As the historian Bruce Catton wrote in The Civil War, in 1860, Abraham Lincoln wanted to be the nominee of the Republican Party — a party that consisted of an amalgam of former members of the defunct Whig Party, Free Soilers (those who believed all new territories should be slave-free), business leaders who wanted a central government that would protect industry and ordinary folk who wanted a homestead act that would provide free farms in the West. “The Republican platform, however, did represent a threat to Southern interests. It embodied the political and economic program of the North — upward revision of the tariff, free farms in the West, railroad subsidies, and all the rest.”
In the early 1860s, the Republican Party’s flurry of new laws, regulations and bureaucracies created by Lincoln and the Republicans foreshadowed Franklin Roosevelt’s “New Deal” for volume, scope and questionable Constitutionality of its legislation.
The term “New Deal” was only co-opted by Roosevelt. It was first coined to describe Lincoln and the Republican agenda by a Raleigh, N.C., newspaper editor in 1865.
“Lincoln’s massive expansion of the federal government into the economy led Daniel Elazar to claim, ‘…one could easily call Lincoln’s presidency the “New Deal” of the 1860s.’ Republicans established a much larger, more powerful, and more destructive federal government in the 1860s,” Mises.org explains.
Already a fascist party (as evidenced by its long history of corporatism and its embrace of George W. Bush’s “compassionate conservatism,” bailouts, big government and perpetual wars), the Republican politicians have slowly and almost imperceptibly abandoned any pretense to adhere to conservative first-principles while positing the notion that what was once true conservativism is now extremism.
True conservatives reject statism, embrace small government and abhor confiscatory taxes. Conservatives believe in a strong military for the nation’s defense (not military adventurism). Conservatives defend innocent life. Conservatives advocate liberty and personal responsibility.
The Republican Party is ruled by CINOs (conservatives in name only), pseudo-conservatives who bow to the will of their corporatist masters while playing the fools.

Senator Susan Collins's Profile in Courage

Senator Susan Collins's Profile in Courage

Senator Susan Collins Profile in Courage
Listening to the extraordinary speech by Senator Susan Collins I was struck by the resemblance to the senators described in President John F. Kennedy’s book Profiles in Courage.
While he was still a senator, Kennedy took advantage of a period when he was recovering from back surgery to write a study of eight senators who he felt had been courageous in doing what they thought was right, even if it cost them re-election.
Profiles in Courage was received with rave reviews and won the Pulitzer Prize.
If Kennedy were writing the book today, he would have to add a chapter for Senator Collins.
Senator Collins has consistently done what she thought was right. I am much more conservative, and I have often disagreed with her. Nonetheless I have worked on health projects and other issues with her, and she has always been thoughtful, serious, and dedicated.

When we have disagreed, it has been within a tone of friendship and mutual admiration that we are both serious people trying to help America navigate through some very difficult and complex challenges.
When I watched her speech Friday I had great admiration for her words – even more than for her final decision.
If you have not read or watched her nearly hour-long speech, I encourage you take the time to do so.
It epitomized the Senate at its best (I write this as a former Speaker of the House for whom praising the Senate under any circumstance is a painful prospect).
The Founding Fathers wanted senators to be more aloof than representatives. They designed it so only one third would be up for election in any given year. Initially, they had senators elected by the state legislatures to protect them from direct pressure from the public. In its earliest years, the Senate took this concept of aloofness so seriously that they met in secret and refused to tell people how they had individually voted. In fact, they met in secret until 1794.
The Senate has a tradition of much longer speeches than the House (if you don’t believe me watch C-SPAN coverage of the two bodies for a few days). The goal was to have a solemn deliberative body that would be slower than the House in following public opinion.
All too often the age of televised sessions, the power of social media, the impact of organized, passionate interest groups, and the ambition of individual senators who grandstand to attract attention so they can later run for president (such as Senator Cory Booker absurdly declaring he was having a “Spartacus moment”) combine to break down the deliberative nature of the Senate and the ability of its best members to think seriously and speak wisely.
For one hour last week, Senator Collins took us back to an age when calm, reasoned logic, powerful imagery, and deep thought controlled the Senate floor.
While most people will focus on her vote, I think for historic purposes it is even more important to watch her reason methodically and then take the case for approval or rejection of Judge Kavanaugh step-by-step and item-by-item.
Senator Collins explored the background of the judicial decisions Judge Kavanaugh has made in his years on the bench. She reported on the hours she had spent interviewing him and many other people. She outlined the case for and against Dr. Christine Blasey Ford’s charges.
Again and again, Senator Collins shed light and logic where others had engaged in emotional diatribes, character assassination, and smears. The contrast could not have been more vivid.
At the end of her speech, I was impressed with how thoughtful and methodical she had been in laying out the case and announcing she would vote “yes.”
Maine is a moderate state with a big activist left-wing element.
Left-wing, anti-Kavanaugh activists had already organized a web page that had gathered more than $2 million in pledges to fund an anti-Collins candidate in 2020 if she voted for Kavanaugh. Left-wing activists sent more than 3,000 coat hangers to her staff symbolizing back alley abortions in an effort to emotionally pressure her into rejecting Kavanaugh.
Collins seems impervious to pressure from both the right and the left. That is a profile in courage worthy of note.
Now, in response to her vote to confirm Justice Kavanaugh, former Obama official Susan Rice is saying she might run against Collins in 2020.
I think that would be the perfect match. Susan Rice was the designated liar sent out by the Obama team to lie to the American people about the Benghazi attack and the death of four Americans including our ambassador to Libya.
I can’t imagine a clearer contrast between a profile in courage and a profile in dishonesty.

P.S. More than 3 million people have watched my Facebook Live on the Left's efforts to destroy Kavanaugh and destroy America since last week.
Watch it and share with your friends here>>

Reed School Partners With Fire Dept. For Fire Prevention Week

  • Reed School Partners With Fire Dept. For Fire Prevention Week-0
LOCKPORT, IL — Reed School partnered with Northwest Homer Fire Protection District for Fire Prevention Week. Firefighters from the department recently spent two days at Reed School talking with students about the importance of fire safety.
In addition to meeting and talking with each class, students had the opportunity to walk through the Fire Safety House, which mimics a house with three rooms, the school said. Students then learned about kitchen and stove safety and how to safely exit a house when smoke is present.

Is America really in war

COMMENTARY
Is America really in a WAR? Internally? Yes, of course. Do most of us not want to accept that or recognize it? Yes of course. We want to “think” this is just politics as usual. But are the informed, good, honest Americans mislead in that thinking? Sadly, yes I think so.

How we got here is somewhat being camouflaged for sure. But somehow todays 2018 Extremist Democrat leaders have propagandized the trusting and un informed Democratic members across the country into believing their actions are good. Believing such things as those Tax Dollars back into your pocket is a bad thing just does not make sense. Todays 2018 Extremist Democrat leaders are a different breed from the days of honorable debate and bantered disagreements. Maybe this started with Ted Kennedy, or a Joe Biden who certainly committed a lot of distasteful acts. Todays 2018 Extremist Democrat leaders are far beyond that. Today it’s attacks on traditional American values, Faith, Religion, Education, Flag, Life, Security, Love Of Country, our history, through which bathroom is best for our own children. It goes deeper and further and into a RESIST at any cost mentality. Clearly, they have abandoned the days of honor, truth, and personal integrity.
Take for example their behavior in front and behind the scenes on the Kavanaugh Confirmation. On one side we have a man of impeccable character, impeccable. One who has passed six (6) FBI background checks, and days upon days of questioning. On the other side we have a last second sprung Woman, who under therapy recalled a memory 35 years ago of groping at age 15. This Groping was translated into attempted Rape by the way. A woman who cannot recall the date, location, time, or how she arrived or departed the event. A woman who’s own named witnesses have under threat of perjury all denied any knowledge what so ever of even being present let alone any knowledge of such event. ALL witnesses. By itself, we have what common sense tells us is a story by a troubled person. However, we have a #Metoo era upon us. Todays 2018 Extremist Democrat leaders colluded secretly to hide behind the #Metoo campaign, dishonorably so, to exploit a troubled woman, destroy an honorable man, all to delay the selection of a conservative constitutionalist to the Supreme Court. Oh they immediately spread lies about how this man would halt Abortions to fire up the crowd too, but we all know this has turned into a dishonorable, shameful, deceitful act by todays 2018 Extremist Democrat leaders. This is Who They Are, This Is How They Want To Govern, and We Can See Them Clearly here. Despicable me, me, me scoundrels. A couple of them actually intend to run for POTUS in 2020.
As for myself, I am so frustrated with bitterness and anguish over todays 2018 Extremist Democrat leaders behavior. I consider myself to be a good person, a loyal American, a fair person. A person now surrounded by scoundrels ready to put my country down, and at any cost. It’s an awful feeling really. Literally all my staunch Democrat Party friends and family have now walked away from todays 2018 Extremist Democrat leaders for sure. I can’t help but wonder just what type of person still thinks the behavior of todays 2018 Extremist Democrat leaders is a good thing? How could any fair minded, honesty seeking person accept this behavior in silence let alone support it? The Media makes you think 25 protesters are a 1,000 and refuses to show the crowd of ten’s of thousand at POTUS rallies. Amazing.
One thig for sure is that America will decide in November to either turn control over to todays 2018 Extremist Democrat leaders or stay the course with POTUS Trump successful policy and results. Common sense is Stay The Course. We can agree to disagree in an honorable manner, but we could never agree that todays 2018 Extremist Democrat leaders destructive deceptions are acceptable.
Please Vote in November, please make the extra effort to bring likeminded honesty seeking Americans to vote with you. God Bless America, and may God Bless Mr Kavanaugh, his wife, two young daughters, and May God help this troubled woman.

President Trump Defines the Big Choice for 2018

President Trump Defines the Big Choice for 2018

President Trump Defines the Big Choice for 2018
For Republicans to win in the upcoming midterm elections, they must understand – and make clear to the American people – that November represents a big choice election, wherein voters will decide between two competing alternative universes.
If Republicans maintain – or even grow – their majorities in the House and the Senate, America will be operating in a grassroots rebellion-conservative-Republican universe after November. That will mean President Trump’s agenda will continue (and possibly accelerate). More conservative judges will join the federal bench. Our taxes and unemployment figures will remain low, while our jobs numbers, wages, and economic growth will continue to increase. Finally, our borders will be secure, our military will be strong, and our nation will prosper through free, fair, and reciprocal trade practices.
If Democrats are able to take the House and gain seats in the Senate, we will be in the media-Left-Democratic Party universe. They will oppose every Trump-Republican plan that is proposed (and likely try to impeach the President at the first frivolous opportunity). Every day will be dominated by scandals and defined by identity politics. Nominated judges will sit in limbo as the federal caseload builds – delaying justice and fair trials for many. They will raise our taxes and reverse the economic gains of the Trump Administration – causing unemployment to rise and our economy to stagnate.
I describe this concept in-depth in a political strategy paper I wrote called The Republican Choice for 2018: Win or Lose. I wrote this paper because I truly believe every Republican candidate, campaign manager, consultant, and political committee member must understand and communicate the stakes of this election. As I explain in the paper:
“A big choice alternative universe campaign requires thinking, planning, and training to make the transition from ‘politics as usual’ to ‘politics as history.’ It is also the only path that will keep a Republican majority in the House.
“The current pattern is a war of district-by-district attrition. The consultants and professionals believe Republicans can outspend Democrats one district at a time and use traditional attack tactics to overcome them even in an unfavorable environment. This explains the number of Nancy Pelosi attack ads and the relatively few big picture, big choice ads. It also explains the constant search for personal weaknesses (DUIs, past business deals, etc.). However, in a potential wave election, this kind of district-by-district effort simply gets drowned by the national messages (see 1974, 1980, 1994, 2006, and 2010 for examples).
“Republicans must move from district-by-district attrition to a national message – and do something unexpected. Republicans need a national brand campaign, so Americans actually hear that there are more jobs than unemployed, we have the lowest level of African-American unemployment recorded, the average American family will have $2,000 more in their budgets, retirement savings have increased, wages have gone up, etc.
“In order to define a big choice, we must ensure that people believe the choice we are defining is real. Right now, there is a lack of belief in many of the accomplishments that have been made.
“We need to be defining the value proposition of the Republican Party to the electorate, so we can break from patterns of the past and propose a compelling future.”
President Trump has already intuited that this is a big choice election, and he has begun using language that defines the two universes from which voters will have to choose.
You saw several examples of this while President Trump was campaigning in Montana last week for Republican Senate candidate Matt Rosendale, who is seeking to take Democrat Jon Tester’s seat.
Most pointedly, the President defined the immigration fight in clear, big choice terms.
“This election is a choice between Democrats who want to abolish ICE, and Republicans, who want to abolish MS-13. It is very simple.”
President Trump – and every Republican – should continue thinking in these big choice alternative universe terms.
If they do not, the Left and the elite media could get the “blue wave” for which they have been fighting
