Leftists Cry “Discrimination” Over A Simple Act Of Kindness
It is difficult to watch our nation’s foundational values come under attack day after day in a constant assault by the left.
With their cries of “tolerance,” and “inclusion” being shouted from the rooftops, it is apparent that these catch phrases only pertain to causes that advances the liberal agenda.
Intolerance for Christian values is on the rise, and one man’s recent act of kindness has turned into another excuse for the left to cry “discrimination.”
Activist Mommy reported:
As Christians, we know that the world hates the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and sometimes this hatred is expressed in incredibly blatant ways, as is the case with the incident evangelist Craig Fasler was involved in at his gym in Manahawkin, New Jersey last month.Fasler was at his gym, Retro Fitness, on March 21st, when he observed an injured man in the locker room. He asked him politely if he could pray for him in Jesus’ name, and the man obliged. At the end of the prayer, the injured man said he felt the pain subside, and that was that.Another gym member, however, observed the incident in the locker room and struck up a conversation with Fasler about his faith. He had been impressed to see the impact Fasler’s simple prayer made on the injured man’s pain. However, when he attempted to share what he’d seen Falser do with the woman working at the front desk of the fitness center, things took a very disturbing turn.
Fasler was shocked when police entered the gym and told him the woman at the desk requested him to be escorted from the premises.
The woman went on to verbally assault Fasler, stating
“you are not allowed to speak about religion here. I am an atheist and you are not allowed to talk about religion and mention the name Jesus in here,” according to the Christian Post.
Fasler could not understand why he was being confronted – especially by the police – when he had simply offered to pray with another gym member — one who had appreciated and consented to the offered prayer.
When Fasler spoke out that he was confused by the disturbing turn the incident had taken, the gym responded with an entirely different take on the event.
Activist Mommy continued with the gym’s response as reported by local news Tap Into Stafford/LBI:
Mr. Fasler, after several unsolicited advances upon members of offers to be touched, so as to be “healed” or to join in prayer, was informed they did not wish to do so at that time. After continuing with said behavior, although he was asked to stop several times by members, an employee intervened and informed Mr. Fasler he was making several members feel uncomfortable. He was asked to stop by the employee, he replied he would not stop. He was then informed if he did not stop, he would be asked to leave. He replied he would not leave. It was at this time our employee felt she had no other option, but to call local authorities and let them handle the situation as they deemed necessary.
When the local news outlet went to the gym to confirm their side of the story, they encountered resistance. The manager on duty refused to speak with them or even provide his full name after several attempts. A man claiming to be the owner of the gym then stated they had video evidence of Mr. Fasler in these interactions with other members, which the gym declined to provide as proof.
It appears the gym’s management is just as opposed to Christian views as the employee who filed the original complaint. And they cannot provide any evidence of their seemingly false account of the story in which Fasler was “bothering” gym members.
While private businesses are supposedly afforded the right to deny service to patrons under the First Amendment, Christians are being attacked and dragged to court in record numbers for refusing to provide services that go against their faith.
Photographers, florists, and bakers are among those who have lost their businesses and been fined thousands of dollars in recent years by homosexual activists who have been denied services for their “weddings.”
One small business owner, Jack Phillips of Colorado, is currently fighting at the U.S. Supreme Court for his right to Religious Liberty after being sued by a homosexual couple who cried “discrimination” when he would not bake their “wedding” cake. Now, simply praying in public will have leftists on the warpath to stop American citizens from expressing their Christian faith.
Every American is now expected to accept the bullying of the left and buy into their propaganda, yet if they are denied what they want in the name of our values or faith, we can be dragged to court for discrimination.
This sad state of affairs is sure to continue, and we must stand strong for our values and our faith – now more than ever.
