Joint Statement Regarding Superintendent’s Resignation

   The Homer Community Consolidated School District 33C Board of Education has agreed to accept Dr. Kara Coglianese’s resignation as Superintendent effective at the end of this school year, June 30, 2018.

   The Board will undertake a superintendent search to identify and hire the next District Superintendent.

   “I have enjoyed working on behalf of the Homer School District and for the opportunity to serve the community, students and staff,” said Dr. Coglianese.

   “Kara has led us during significant changes at the District and has been a dedicated champion of our schools. The Board is grateful for her service to the School District,” said Board President Debbie Martin.

   The District’s Superintendent search will begin as soon as possible, and the Board hopes to name the next Superintendent by Spring 2018.
