Welter, Rezin to Host Senior Health Fair in Morris

MORRIS – State Representative David A. Welter, R-Morris, and State Senator Sue Rezin, R-Morris, will host their annual Senior Health Fair from 9:00 a.m. – Noon on Thursday, June 14 at Saratoga Elementary School, located at 4040 N. Division Street in Morris. The event is free and open to the public.

“Helping local seniors maintain a healthy and active lifestyle is among my most important priorities,” Representative Welter said. “I encourage you to visit our fair and take advantage of the many outstanding local programs and services available to seniors in our community.”

“I encourage seniors to come learn about better ways to lead a healthier life,” Senator Rezin said. “The information they learn from this event could make all the difference down the road.”  

Dozens of different community organizations and state/local service providers who offer programs and resources for seniors are participating in the fair. Information covers a wide range of topics including health care, recreation, nutrition, caregiver needs, nursing home and long-term care, supportive living and much more. The State Treasurer’s office also will conduct I-Cash searches for seniors.  I-Cash is a lost assets search that the state may be holding for you.

Free refreshments will be provided and attendees are encouraged to sign-in for a chance to win a door prize.
